Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants Established as the Chosun Institute of Accountants on 1 October 1945 and was later changed to the Korean Institute of Accountants (KIA) in December 1954 in accordance with the Accountants Law 1950. It was later reorganised and was named the KICPA in September 1966 after promulgation of the Certified Public Accountants Law.
